Mandated reporting laws are pertinent to practitioners of “helping professions,” such as social workers, doctors, nurses, and teachers. These dictate that a professional or student in those fields must report suspected child maltreatment the state for investigation. The report, well investigation follows, has potential result removal separation children from their parents caretakers. welfare system which mandated is component cruel history racism white supremacy, prejudice towards experiencing poverty, disabilities, mental health concerns, homelessness, substance use disorders. This research examines disproportionate harm on Black Brown individuals, particularly New York, how used further marginalize oppressed communities since 1970s. indicates need comprehensively reimagine erroneously named “child system” starting with repealing United States.
